4 reasons to “Give Your Heart Out” to Save a Child’s Heart

February 1, 2015

Our  Valentine’s Day Campaign aims to raise $120,000, enough to save the lives of 12 children from developing countries who suffer from life-threatening heart disease. This is why YOU should get involved:

1. Because heart disease is a MAJOR issue in developing countries

An estimated 5.5 million children in developing nations around the world will die because the heart care they need is unavailable to them. So far, Save a Child’s Heart has saved the lives of over 3400 children suffering from heart disease from these countries.

2. Because Save a Child’s Heart provides a glimmer of hope in a volatile part of the world

Save a Child’s Heart believes that all children, regardless of race, religion, gender, nationality, or financial status deserve the right to live. We bring children from across Africa, Eastern Europe, Asia and the Middle East to Israel to save lives and build bridges.

3. Because we believe in sustainable medical care in developing countries

The ultimate goal of Save a Child’s Heart is to create centers of medical competence in developing countries so that children can be treated in their own communities. We have trained over 100 medical professionals from developing countries to date, including Tanzania’s first ever pediatric surgeon, Dr. Godwin Godfrey.

4. Because children are the future

Children deserve the chance to discover their dreams, find their places in the world, and improve it in every way that they can. Each child deserves to live the life that he or she wishes to pursue, and we, at Save a Child’s Heart, work with everything we have in order to give them that chance.
